Derbyshire Police Survey Y10 - Y13

Mon 27 Jan 2025
Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts, would like to hear your students’ views on crime and community safety in Derbyshire.

Throughout the year the Commissioner runs a survey called Listening 2 You, asking for Derbyshire residents’ views on crime and community safety. This is done to ensure that the priorities the Commissioner sets for policing, community safety and victim services reflect the issues that matter most to Derbyshire residents, wherever they live in the City or the County.  Using the responses from the survey, the Commissioner will work with the Chief Constable to ensure that resources are balanced efficiently with residents’ concerns.

We need to hear from as many people as possible, from all age groups and backgrounds, to ensure the results are fair.  This is where we are asking for your help - we want to ensure that young people’s voices are heard in this consultation.

Please would you be able to help us by giving your older students (Year 10 and above) the opportunity to complete the online survey.

The survey questions cover feelings of safety, experiences of crime and anti-social behaviour in the area where they live, and opinions on local policing. The survey should take no longer than 4 minutes to complete.  The link for the survey is below:

If your school can circulate the survey to students via social media, Teams, or if you utilise homework apps, such as Show My Homework, it would be greatly appreciated.

Our office is also happy to provide paper copies of the survey, so students can complete them in form/tutor time or PSHE classes. Our office will then also arrange collection of these surveys.  The contact details are below.

We would also be very grateful if you could share this survey link with all parents and staff members.

If you have any questions regarding the survey or would like any more information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you for your help.

Kindest Regards,
