We will be offering an Open Evening to perspective students on the 28th of November 2024.

Year 11 Taster Days are aimed at any students wishing to consider Outwood Academy Newbold as a Post 16 option.  

Taster days will be held on the 25th and 26th June 2025.

Through the taster days you will experience first hand what our lessons are like, and our academy day, as well as more information about everyday life as a sixth form student at Outwood Academy Newbold to ensure this really is the right pathway for you. You will meet current students and staff so that you can get to know them prior to your September start. 

We are hopeful that this experience will give you an idea of which subjects you would like to pursue in the future or indeed help you to decide whether Outwood Academy Newbold is right for you.  

Our Y10s will also be offered the opportunity to experience taster day to give them an early indication of whether this may be the pathway for them. An experience day will be offered on the day of the Open Evening. This gives students the opportunity to sign up to a variety of subjects that they may be interested in prior to starting Y11. This is to support students to have an idea of what they want to do P16 so that they can focus on their studies in Y11.
